Program learning outcomes (PLOs) are overarching skills that are emphasized and reinforced throughout several courses in a specific program; they are measurable statements that define the skills the College expects its students to develop – over and above the general education learning outcomes – by the end of a specific certificate or degree at LBHC. See LBHC's assessment plans and reports and its 2023-24 assessment plan for a list of annual goals and progress regarding the PLO assessment process.

Instructions for completing PLO reports: To complete…
1. The most recent year’s PLO report: Every program formally assesses one PLO per year based on their PLO curriculum maps. PLO reports are due at the end of the academic year. Consult your PLO curriculum map to identify which PLO should be assessed this year and in which course. Download, save, and complete the blank PLO report below.
2. The “Results of next steps” from your previous year’s PLO report: At the end of each year, programs review the "next steps" of the previous year's submitted PLO report and record their reflections in the shaded box on the last page of the report called, "Results of 'next steps' implementation on student learning". This process enables faculty to consider how the modifications to their teaching, learning, or assessment activities have impacted student learning. Previous years' PLO reports are posted below. Download and save your previous year’s submitted PLO report and complete the shaded boxes on the last page.
